Instruction

  • Rex Cole profile imageRex has been a Class A Head Gold Professional over 46 years. 1966 was a great year for Rex as it was also the same year he married his wife Karen. His motto in life is "Make a new friend everyday” and he does. You may recognize Rex from being on KUSI for over 5 years and offering Golf Tips. Rex Cole knows golf inside and out. Maybe that’s why the top sports writer for the San Diego Union told readers that "Rex has the seasoning and knowledge that only more than 40 years in the business can bring.”

Rex is a great mentor to many people throughout our city. He takes pride in not just his work ethics around his clients at Cottonwood Golf Club, but in his generosity he provides to our community. Representative Duncan Hunter recognized Rex Cole during his Congressional Record Tribute in 2008. Rep. Duncan Hunter said "Rex Cole was known for the fact that every weekend for almost 40 years, he gives free lessons to any young person who wanted to come over and be taught the game of golf. He continued by stating "Madam Speaker, this is a time when we are looking to heroes for inspiration. As Ronald Reagan said, "you don’t always have to look to great national leaders or military leaders.” Heroes are in these communities all around us, and Rex Cole is one of those heroes.
